We ("arenamate") recognize that protection of your personal information is important. Here are details on what data we collect, why we collect it and how we handle it.

 

Compliance

arenamate followed Blizzard's data protection notice for developers using their Application Programming Interface (API) to give you full control over the data provided to and presented on this site (see "Retention", "Consent/Right of erasure" within the next section).

 

Data Collection and Processing

We consume the following game data from the Battle.net World of Warcraft (WoW) API.

Character profile data:

• Fields: name, realm, region, faction, race, gender, class, spec, Player vs. Player (PvP) leaderboard stats (rating, rank, season wins/losses), PvP-related achievements (name, completed timestamp)
• Purpose: The main purpose of this website is to provide you with historized data for PvP activities. If you are an active player on the ladders, leaderboard stats are combined with your characters' details for features like class representation charts, player activity history, tracking of individual characters etc.
• Retention: <= 30 days
• Consent/Right of erasure: Please go to the privacy settings of your Blizzard account and disable "Share my game data with community developers". All data of your characters will then be deleted from this website within the next 30 days.

Account data:

• Fields: BattleTag, creation timestamp, last login timestamp, max. level characters ("owned players"), followed players, additionally given information (e.g. Twitter/Twitch handles), site preferences (e.g. default region)
• Purpose: We will use your account data to provide you with functionality like being able to verify your characters and tracking yours and other players' progress on the leaderboards.
• Retention: until manual deletion
• Consent/Right of erasure: You can permanently delete your arenamate account here.

Please note: According to this official post, historical data from the leaderboards may be treated as "public data", if it was available in the first place. This data will nonetheless be erased if you request us to do so through your Blizzard account settings.

We do not sell or share any of this data to third parties.

 

Cookies

arenamate uses cookies, which are small text files, to store small pieces of helpful information on your computer. Cookies can be described by different characteristics.

Type/Purpose:

• Necessary: Essential for you to browse the website and use its features, such as accessing secure areas of the site.
• Functional: These cookies allow a website to remember choices you have made in the past, like what language you prefer.
• Statistical: Collect information about how you use a website, like which pages you visited and which links you clicked on.

Expiration:

Google Services

We use different services provided by Google Ireland Limited (Google), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Information may be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers within the United States (US) within the boundaries of the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) of the European Commission (EC).

 

Google Analytics

arenamate uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google. This service utilizes statistical cookies.

Google will use all collected information on behalf of arenamate for compiling website usage reports.

We have activated IP anonymization, which means your IP-address will be truncated within the area of Member States of the EU or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (EEA).

You can globally opt out from being tracked by Google Analytics by installing Google Analytics - Opt-out Browser Addon for your current web browser.

 

Do Not Track

Do Not Track (DNT) signals from your browser settings are neither recognized nor handled by our website.

 

Log Files

IP anonymization is in effect for our server log files.
